The Mining skill is used for the mining and smelting of ores. The higher your mining skill is, the better the ore you can mine, and better odds you have to successfully mine the rarer ores and smelt them
For mining, you will need a pickaxe, which can be bought from blacksmith NPCs or crafted by players.
Once you have enough ores, you can attempt to smelt them into ingots, by applying coal to a forge and then using the forge on the ores.
It is important to note that certain ores can only be obtained by mining in specific mines in the map. Ores are obtained randomly, the percentage chance of mining a specific ore ranges with specific regions, also.
