Tinkering is a skill which allows crafting of various utility and decorative items, mostly out of wood and metals. It is also the skill used to craft jewels which can be attached to weapons, armor or clothing.
Tinkers can at high level skill also create and control powerful Golems.
Golems are mechanical creatures that tinkers can control. They are only shrinkable by using Greater Shrinks. They are red karma.
Jewels are crafted with tinkering but applied using Arms Lore.
To jewel a weapon or piece of armour simply double click the jewel and target the desired item to encrust the jewel. (Note: having 50% Arms Lore or Item Lore allows one to encrust jewels on weapons and armour without needing the Tinkering skill) Weapons and armour take one jewel each and can only be jeweled once.
